Second electric scooter crash in Brisbane in as many days

Another man has been hospitalised after crashing an electric scooter in Brisbane overnight.

Emergency services were called to Moggill Road and Stanley Terrace in Taringa around 11.20pm.

It’s believed the man – in his 20s – was riding an electric scooter with a helmet on, before he hit a gutter and fell off.

He sustained face and arm injuries.

Paramedics treated him at the scene briefly, before taking him to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He’s believed to be in a stable condition.

It is unclear what brand of scooter the man was riding at the time of the incident, though the incident is the second of its kind in as many days.

A man in his 50s fell from a LIME scooter just after midnight yesterday morning.

The man then suffered a heart attack after the fall, and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

His current condition is unknown.
