Second man charged over Carly McBride murder in NSW
A second man has been charged over the murder of New South Wales mum of two Carly McBride.
The 31-year-old victim from Belmont, Lake Macquarie, disappeared during a visit to Muswellbrook in September, 2014.
Her remains were found in bushland on the outskirts of Scone in August 2016.
A post mortem examination indicated she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
On Monday, detectives from Strike Force Karabi travelled to San Remo, on the Central Coast, and arrested a 39-year-old man from nearby Buff Point.
He was charged with Ms McBride’s murder and faced Wyong Local Court that afternoon.
Around 9:30AM on Thursday, investigators travelled to Lithgow where they charged a 26-year-old alleged co-offender with the murder.
He was also charged with unrelated offences pertaining to the destruction by fire of a rental car and weapons matters.
He was expected to face Lithgow Local Court this evening.
