Second person charged over armed robbery of man on the Gold Coast
A second person has been charged over the armed robbery of a man at West Burleigh almost two weeks ago.
Around 4.15am on Friday November 30, a 27-year-old man was sitting in his car on Tallebudgera Creek Road, when another man jumped into the vehicle armed with a knife and demanded money.
Police said the man allegedly stole a laptop before a second man stole the victim’s mobile phone.
Following investigations, a 20-year-old Coolangatta man was charged on December 1 with one count each of armed robbery, possessing drug utensil, possessing a knife in a public place and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Officers have also since charged a 24-year-old Labrador man with one count of armed robbery.
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
