Second shooting incident at Bundall home

Police are investigating a shooting incident in a Bundall street, the second in the last two weeks.

According to initial reports, police received numerous calls from residents on Tiwi Street who had heard a gun shot at around 8.30pm on Sunday night.

On arrival, police have found damage consistent with a single shotgun being fired at close range, impacting the front gate.

The sole occupant of the house, a 72-year-old woman, was not physically injured.

Police believe this incident is linked to a similar incident that occurred at the same address on November 24.

On that evening, the woman woke up to heard a loud noise and upon inspection found a single shotgun blast has impacted the garage door.

A vehicle parked in the garage was also damaged as a result of the shooting.

A crime scene was established and police investigations are continuing.
