A six-week-old baby girl has sadly passed away in hospital, following what’s believed to be a tragic accident in Brisbane’s south earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Sunray Street on November 27, where two six-week-old twins were found in critical conditions and undergoing first aid treatment.
One of the twins was pronounced dead at the scene, while her twin sister was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Police have since confirmed that the sister passed away in hospital yesterday.
Preliminary investigations suggest the babies were sleeping together throughout the night, and were discovered unresponsive in the morning.
Police say they’re not treating the deaths as suspicious.
Investigations are continuing.
