Security guard charged over savage pub bashing



A security guard has been charged over the savage bashing of a man who was found unconscious and covered in blood outside a pub in Padstow, NSW overnight.

Police and paramedics were called to the licensed venue on Howard Road shortly after 10pm on Friday following reports a man had been injured in a fight.


Emergency crews raced to the scene where they found the 34-year-old victim unconscious and covered in blood.

He was rushed to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 38-year-old man who works at the pub as a security guard was taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was subjected to extensive questioning before being charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Granted conditional bail, he is scheduled to appear before Bankstown Local Court on 2 December 2015.
