Seen a random bunch of flowers on the GC today? Here’s why!

If you’ve spotted a bouquet of flowers in a random spot on the Gold Coast today, there is a reason why.

Local family florist Fleurus is celebrating 10 years in business and are leaving bunches of blooms in high profile places around their Brickworks location for a very special reason.

People who find the bouquets are being encouraged to ‘Bouquet it Forward’, meaning that they can either keep the beautiful blooms for themselves or pass them on to someone who they believe is more deserving.

“There is nothing better than to give or receive an unexpected bouquet of flowers and what better way to thank the Gold Coasters who have supported our family business over the last decade than to do just that,” owner Mardi Dodwell said.

The bunches of flowers have been left in and around the Brickworks centre, in bus stops on park benches, cafes and other high profile areas.

A note has been attached to the bouquet explaining the concept and encouraging the finder to share what they do with the flowers on Instagram using the hash tag #FleurusFlowers.

“We look forward to following the hash tag throughout the day to see who receives the flowers and where they end up!” Ms Dodwell said.
