Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus diagnosed with breast cancer
American actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Emmy-award-winning actress made the shock announcement on social media on Friday.
“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” Louis-Dreyfus wrote.
“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
The 56-year-old was reportedly diagnosed just a day after winning an Emmy for comedy actress at the Emmy Awards earlier this month.

HBO sent their love to the actress in a post on Twitter just hours ago.
“Your undaunted spirit has always been an inspiration to your family at HBO. Sending our love and support,” they wrote.
Louis-Dreyfus is best known for her role as Elaine Benes on American sitcom Seinfeld.
