Qld police officer stood down on bodily harm charges

A Queensland police officer has been stood down from official duty following an investigation by the Crime and Misconduct Commission.

It was revealed this afternoon that the 44-year-old Senior Constable from the Southern Region had been charged with two counts of causing bodily harm under the Criminal Code.

The officer was served with a notice to appear by the Commission and is due to front Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 11.
