Sentence reduction for bikie involved in Broadbeach brawl

A BRISBANE Judge has reduced the sentence of a Bandidos ‘prospect’ involved in last September’s Broadbeach bikie brawl.

District Court Judge Brad Farr has accepted the appeal by Andrew Barton Clarke-Davis, shaving a third off his original nine month sentence, imposed by Chief Magistrate Tim Carmody.

Judge Farr argued the original sentence was too harsh, cutting it down to just six months.

In January, Judge Carmody told Clarke-Davis he wished he had the power to lock him up for longer but settled on the nine month sentence as three co-offenders had already been dealt with in other Queensland courts.

Clarke-Davis has already served 89 days behind bars, and was granted immediate parole.
