The Pacific Motorway has been brought to a standstill following two separate traffic crashes on the northern Gold Coast this afternoon.
The first accident is believed to have occurred in the southbound lanes of the M1 at Pimpama at around 1pm.
It’s understood a truck has collided with a motorcycle in that area.

Emergency services are on scene and long delays are being experienced, with southbound traffic backed up for four kilometres.
Another accident has also occurred further south in the southbound lanes at Coomera.
It remains unknown how many people, if any, have been injured in either crash.
Police are urging motorists to seek an alternate route if possible.
