RACQ has urged motorists to take advantage of low bowser prices, with south east Queensland at the bottom of the petrol price cycle.
The average cost of unleaded petrol (ULP) in Brisbane is 119 cents per litre (cpl), 121cpl on the Gold Coast and 121cpl on the Sunshine Coast.
RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith said while there was no sign of a price rise yet, motorists should fill up now to avoid missing out on low prices.

“While the price cycle currently lasts in total for about one month, it’s ever changing and unpredictable,” Ms Smith said.
“When prices rise from the bottom of the cycle to the top – the jump is sharp, around 20cpl in many cases.
“If motorists are serious about saving money, it’s important to shop around and fill up at the bottom of the cycle – and that time is now.”
According to RACQ’s fair fuel price service the benchmark ULP price to keep an eye out for in the south east is 117cpl.
