Sergio Garcia wins US Masters
Sergio Garcia has won the US Masters, beating Englishman Justin Rose in a playoff at August National.
The 37-year-old won with a birdie on the first playoff hole, to take out his first major championship golf title.
Garcia and Rose had tied at nine-under par 279 after both missing Both missed makeable birdie putts on the final hole to finish with round of three-under par 69s
They finished three shots clear of third-place Charl Schwartzel of South Africa.
The best placed Australian, Adam Scott, finished in a tie for ninth on two-under after a disappointing 73 on the final day.
Jason Day was never really in the hunt, finishing at two-over.
