Serial bag snatcher on the loose in Sydney’s inner west

There have been a couple of bag snatches reported in Sydney’s inner west on Monday night.

The first incident occurred about 8.35pm on Russell Street, Strathfield, as a 23-year-old woman was walking home from the train station.

A man ran up behind her and grabbed her handbag before getting into a back SUV being driven by another man.

The second incident occurred about 8.50pm on Loftus Crescent, Homebush, when a 23-year-old woman was walking along the footpath.

A man ran up behind her and snatched her bag before getting into a black SUV and driving away.

Neither of the women involved were hurt and both gave a similar description of the man they saw.

He has been described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall and wearing a back hooded jumper and long pants.
