Serious crash under investigation north of the GC

A serious car accident is under investigation just north of the Gold Coast.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Logan River Road and Harburg Drive in Beenleigh at around 9:00 pm on Friday night.

A ute travelling along Logan River Road crashed into the side of a car in the intersection, and the front seat passenger of the car, a 17-year-old woman, suffered serious leg injuries and transported to hospital.

Two other passengers as well as the 21-year-old female driver were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the ute, a 21-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.

The injured were transported to the Princess Alexandra and Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospitals.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing, and they are appealing to anyone that might have been in the area at the time, especially if they have a dash camera, to contact them.

Investigators are also asking for any witnesses to the crash and in particular for anyone who may have information about the crash itself to contact Crime Stoppers.
