Seven people and a pet dog have got out of a Brisbane home alive after it erupted into flames.
A resident noticed a smoky smell at Sunnybank Hills property early on Tuesday and managed to get everyone out before dialling triple zero.
The flames quickly spread throughout the two storey home, completely destroying it.

“I ran over there and I could feel the fence and there was too much heat there and I yelled out for hoses but it was far too intense for hoses so we just let it go,” one told Seven.
“Luckily the fire brigade came and they’ve done a great job here.”
There were gas bottles at the property and in neighbouring homes, but firefighters contained the spread.
