Seven rifles, two shotguns stolen off NSW farm

Police appeal for information about missing NSW man

SEVEN rifles and two shotguns have been stolen off a farm at Gwabegar, in northern NSW.

Police say the firearms were taken during a break-in that occurred at the Silo Road property sometime between 8am on Saturday 17 October and 3.30pm on Saturday 31 October 2015.

It’s alleged during the break and enter, the following nine firearms were stolen from a shipping container;

  • A ‘CDC Eley’ 171 bolt action .22 calibre rifle,
  • A ‘Mossberg’ 695 bolt action 12 gauge shotgun,
  • A ‘Lithgow’ SMLE3 .303 calibre bolt action rifle,
  • A ‘BSA’ bolt action .22 15 shot repeating rifle,
  • A ‘Stoeger’ double barrel 12 gauge shotgun,
  • A ‘Savage Stevens’ bolt action .223 calibre 4 shot repeating rifle,
  • A ‘Marlin’ bolt action 7 shot capacity .17HMR calibre rifle,
  • A ‘Lithgow’ bolt action SMLE MKIII .303 calibre, and
  • A ‘Rossi’ lever action 6 shot capacity 30-30 calibre.

Police established a crime scene and are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
