Several people, including school children and staff, are feared dead after an avalanche at a Japanese Ski Resort.
The avalanche hit around 9.20am Monday at the Nasu Onsen Family Ski Resort in Tochigi.
Local authorities said about 50 students from seven different high schools were on a mountaineering expedition in the area when the disaster struck.

Eight students were found “with no vital signs” and more than 30 have reportedly been injured, The Guardian reports.
An emergency rescue operation is now underway.
