Several Gold Coast suburbs set for water interruptions today

Half a dozen Gold Coast suburbs are set for water outages today, as council carries out various works around the city.

Overnight, crews continued work in Mudgeeraba to replace a water meter, which saw some properties along Somerset Drive, including the college, experience water interruptions.

A meter replacement happened in Elanora this morning, affecting homes along Coolgardie Street between 1.00am and 5.00am.


Today, crews are headed to Benowa for water main maintenance between 9.00am and 2.00pm, which could affect homes along Edinburgh Road and Sir Bruce Small Boulevard.

While a hydrant replacement is happening in Tallebudgera, which will affect homes along Tyalla Court between 9.00am and 2.00pm.

Another one is happening along Bonogin Road in Mudgeeraba.

Homes along Hillview Parade in Ashmore, and Archipelago Street in Pacific Pines are in for a water shutdown due to a meter replacement.

Why can’t we subscribe to a service which tells us when the water is turned off and back on? I’m waiting till 2pm in Benowa before I turn on the main tap (to minimise getting dirty water in my hot water tanks) but would like to know if they finish early. Surely this should be possible.
