Severe heatwave on the way for the end of spring

Get the sunscreen and cold beers ready Gold Coast – we’re set to see out spring with a severe heatwave!

The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts temps to rise up to 12 degrees above the November average, and could potentially break records.

The heatwave is set to hit South Australia and Western Australia over the weekend, before pushing into northern New South Wales and southeast Queensland next week.

Some parts of Queensland could see temperatures into the 40s.

While the Gold Coast, the mercury is set to climb into the 30s next week.
