Shoes lead Police to cannabis bust
A man has landed himself in hot water, after gaining the attention of a sniffer dog at a Sydney train station.
The 26-year-old was nabbed on Thursday night during a drug dog operation at Bankstown Railway Station, with what’s thought to have been cannabis residue found on his shoes.
He was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station before being transferred to the custody of Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
Police continued investigations and searched a Punchbowl home on Friday afternoon where they allegedly seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of over $400,000.
