Shooting victim staggers into NSW hospital after being “dropped off”

A MAN with gunshot wounds has staggered into a hospital on the NSW north coast, covered in blood.

Police said the 30-year-old was dropped at Coffs Harbour Health Campus around 6.30pm on Saturday.

He was bleeding from gunshot wounds to his hand and shoulder.

Hospital staff notified police however investigators are yet to speak to the victim “due to his medical state”.

Police said the man’s injuries are not considered life threatening.

Officers attended a home on Ridge Street a short time later where they established a crime scene.

A number of items of interest have since been seized from the home and will undergo forensic analysis.

Local detectives have set up Strike Force Ebal to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist police is urged to come forward.
