Police are investigating after a tattoo parlour and neighbouring business were shot-up in the small town of Picton, south-west of Sydney overnight.

Multiple shots were fired from a car into the two shopfronts on Argyle Street at around 12.30am.

The vehicle, described as a dark blue sedan, then sped away from the scene.

No one was inside the shops at the time, and there have been no reports of injury.

Police attended a short time later and established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic teams.

As investigations continue, detectives would like to speak to any witnesses who are yet to provide statements, or anyone with information that may assist with their inquiries.
