Shots fired in road rage attack

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly shooting up a cyclist’s house following a road rage incident in Central Queensland.

It’s alleged the 31-year-old man became began arguing with a 40-year-old man on a pushbike following a traffic incident on Smithwick Street, in the Rockhampton suburb of Norman Gardens, about 6.15pm on Friday.

The 31-year-old allegedly left the scene but returned with a gun a short time later and fired at least two shots at the cyclist’s home.

The driver allegedly returned to the area twice more, each time firing more bullets into the home.

Thankfully, the 40-year-old cyclist was not injured.

The 31-year-old Norman Gardens was arrested on Saturday and expected to be charged with weapons offences.
