Showers building over the hinterland, moving east
SHOWERS are making their way east over the hinterland this afternoon, headed for the city.
At around 4pm on Friday afternoon, a small thunderstorm was detected on weather radar.
The non-severe cell went on to produce six lighting bolts just west of Nerang, before dissipating into just a few showers, some heavy.
This morning, the Weather Bureau forecast isolated showers for the coast and isolated thunderstorms for the hinterland communities.
At 5:30pm, it was 26°C outside, with a feels like temperature of 28°C.
Relative humidity is currently standing at around 85% with southeasterly winds coming in at 35km/h, gusting at 44km.
