Single adults banned from theme park over paedophile fears

A British theme park has banned all single adults from entering over fears that they could be paedophiles.

Puxton Park’s rules came to light after a 54-year-old grandfather complained after he was refused entry.

Matthew Richards is a bird enthusiast and wanted to visit the falconry display at the park when he was turned away.

Puxton Park’s Managing Director, Alistair Mead has said Mr Richards’ complaint is the first the park has received since the policy was introduced seven years ago.

The married father-of-three told the Daily Mail: ‘I almost feel discriminated against. I could understand it if it was for the attractions that young children only enjoy, but the falconry is of interest to all.

‘I was frankly amazed. I was told the rule applies to single men, and women, for the protection of children.”
