Six arrested over separate stolen car chases on the Gold Coast

Police have been kept busy overnight, chasing stolen cars all over the Gold Coast.

The first spotted a white Audi coming down the M1 around 10.00 pm.

It was tracked down to Whittian Drive in Carrara where it was dumped, and a group of three tried to flee the scene.

The 25-year-old woman, 17-year-old and 18-year-old were quickly found in nearby bushland and arrested.

Charges are yet to be laid.

The car is understood to have been stolen from a home in Broadbeach Waters early yesterday morning.

Only an hour later, a second stolen vehicle was observed coming down the M1 as well.

The white Peugeot sedan was spotted in Logan, but followed by PolAir all the way to Pimpama.

One tyre deflation had to be used on Village Boulevard, and a second was also deployed along Mirambeena Road according to a police spokesperson.

The car then came to a stop near the motorway, where the driver got out of the car and ran onto the road.

The 25-year-old man was tracked down to bushes on the median strip in near exit 49 in Pimpama a short time later.

Two others, a 23 and 25-year-old woman, were arrested near the car.

The car is believed to have been taken from a home in Palm Beach back on August 19.

Charges are yet to be laid.

Investigations are continuing.
