Six hospitalised after spate of crashes across Gold Coast

It’s been a busy night for paramedics on the Gold Coast, with six people hospitalised following a number of crashes across the city.

The first accident happened on West Burleigh Road in Burleigh Heads around 6.30pm on Wednesday, when two vehicles collided.

Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries, before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Just two hours later, emergency crews were called to Pacific Motorway on-ramp at Hope Island following reports of a smash.

One person was injured after two cars were involved in a prang while merging onto the M1 around 8pm.

Thankfully they were also hospitalised in a stable condition.

Around the same time, paramedics attended the scene of a three-car crash on Alison Road at Carrara.

Three people were taken from the crash site to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Instead of fining those at fault, make them re sit their driving license.
$140 fine does nothing for road safety.
