Six hospitalised after two car smash at Mermaid Waters

SIX people, including two children, have been hospitalised after a two car crash in Mermaid Waters.

The accident happened just after 6.00pm on Tuesday, at the intersection of Surfers Avenue and Sunshine Boulevard.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics treated four women and two children for various injuries at the scene.

They were all taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Meanwhile, a person declined transport to hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Fern Street and the Gold Coast Highway just before 12.30am.
