Six hour Brisbane siege ends in fatal shooting

A lengthy siege situation in Brisbane has ended in the fatal police shooting of an alleged gunman.

Police spent six hours trying to negotiate with a Logan man, who had five people holed up in a service station at Stretton from 1.00 pm yesterday.

He then allegedly pointed the weapon at police officers who then opened fire.
