Six injured after car ploughs through hospital entrance
SIX people have been injured after a car smashed through the entrance of a hospital in Perth’s north.
The vehicle, driven by a woman aged in her 80s, ploughed 20 metres through a discharge lounge at the front of the Joondalup Health Campus just after midday local time.
Six people were injured, including the driver, a staff member and four patients who were waiting to go home.
All six were treated in the hospital’s emergency department, three of whom were in a serious condition.
The crash site has been cordoned off and the hospital was operating as usual on Thursday afternoon.
