Six injured in separate smashes

SIX people have been injured and taken to hospital following three separate crashes on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to the first incident at Pimpama shortly after 7pm last night .

It’s understood two cars came to grief on Old Wharf Road.

Two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to separate hospitals for treatment.

Paramedics were called to a second crash at Molendinar about two hours later, at 9.05pm.

Two people were injured after the car they were in collided with a parked vehicle on Coachwood Drive.

The pair were both transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Then, about 6.15am today, two more people were injured in a nasty crash at Currumbin.

It’s understood a vehicle, a moped and a bicycle all collided on the Gold Coast Highway.

A number of patients were assessed by paramedics at the scene before two were taken to hospital.

They too were transported to the University Hospital in stable conditions.
