POLICE have had to smash their way inside a car to rescue a six-month-old baby locked inside on the Gold Coast on Tuesday afternoon.
myGC understands the mother had accidentally locked her infant inside the family’s Nissan Pathfinder in a carpark outside the Allamanda Hospital at around 3.30pm.
The baby was locked inside for up to 10 minutes before police arrived and smashed their way in through the driver’s side window.

Although said not to be distressed, the youngster was checked by nurses inside the hospital as a precaution.
