Six people wearing balaclavas and armed with poles, baton, knives raid NSW home

Police are appealing for information following an alleged home invasion in Leeton early this morning.

About 1.30am (Thursday 27 August 2015), emergency services were called to a home on Hickory Street, following reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told that six people, five men and one woman wearing balaclavas and armed with poles, baton, and knives, entered the home and threatened the occupants, before taking property and fleeing.

One of the occupants, a 56-year-old man, was assaulted during the incident. He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries.

The other occupants, a 29-year-old man, and two women aged 26 and 42, were not injured.

A crime scene was established and the incident is being investigated by officers from Griffith Local Area Command.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
