Six survive north Queensland chopper crash

UPDATE: A HELICOPTER has crashed into a mountain in far north Queensland, with reports all six on board have survived. 

It’s understood the chopper crashed on a walking track in the Mount Cook National Park at Cooktown around midday (AEST).

All six occupants have miraculously survived, with initial information suggesting two people have been injured.

Two rescue helicopters have been dispatched from Townsville and Cairns, while rescue crews attempt to reach the scene on foot.
