Sixth man charged over Gold Coast father’s murder
A sixth person has been charged over the murder of a Gold Coast father who vanished more than a year ago.
Homicide detectives arrested a 21-year-old man over the murder of Greg Dufty, 37, at a house in Nerang around 7.30am this morning.
He is the sixth man to be charged over the Gold Coast father’s murder.
Mr Dufty was last seen in Ashmore on July 6 last year. His body has never been found, although detectives allege he was murdered over a drug debt.
It’s believed he was beaten to death and his body incinerated on a property in northern NSW.
His hire car was found abandoned in the car park of an Ashmore seafood restaurant.
The 21-year-old man from Nerang is expected to appear in Southport Magistrate Court later today, charged with one count of murder.
Investigations into Mr Dufty’s disappearance are continuing.
