Small crowd turns out to see Titans lose to Storm

THE DEPLETED Titans and Storm have played out a close match at Cbus Super Stadium, with the Gold Coast coming off second-best.

Both sides were without their Origin stars, but Melbourne managed to break a two-game losing streak with a 24-20 win over the home side last night, in front of a dismal crowd of just 6,497, according to NRL.com.

In a further blow to the Titans, five-eighth after Beau Henry was forced from the field with an injury to his right knee inside the first 10 minutes.

Veteran Ashley Harrison was back early from a fracture in his neck, but left the field in plenty of discomfort in the 24th minute and clutching at his left shoulder.

The Gold Coast is now sitting 12th on the NRL ladder following their seventh loss of the season and will be looking to snap a losing streak when they face the Dragons at home on Sunday.
