A HAZARD reduction burn currently underway in the Nerang National Park is producing large volumes of smoke over the Gold Coast.
The burn, which started this morning, is expected to last several days.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson said residents living in and around Nerang and Clagiraba are likely to be affected by smoke.

“Please, close your windows and doors and keep medications close by if you suffer from a respiratory condition,” the QFES said.
“Smoke can decrease visibility on the road so it is important to drive safely to conditions.”
