Gold Coasters are urged not to be alarmed by the smell of smoke around this weekend.
Hazard reduction burns are still on going in areas to the north, which could mean a smokey haze and smell for locals in surrounding areas.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have been conducting burns all week, and will hopefully wrap up tomorrow.

Burns are happening in areas around Canungra today and tomorrow, as well as the southern part of North Stradbroke Island.
Burns in Pacific Pines were due to wrap up yesterday.
Residents are being told to close their windows and doors if they’re noticing the smell or haze.
Though with breathing issues are being reminded to keep medication nearby.
It will hopefully all clear up by Monday.
