Snapchat changes its name, unveils game-changing sunglasses

Popular photo and video sharing app Snapchat is stepping up the technology game.

In a move sure to envy its competitors, the app has unveiled innovative new video-recording sunglasses, dubbed ‘spectacles’.

The glasses, which can record 10 second videos, which are then uploaded to the app via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, were revealed in the Wall Street Journal two days ago.

Along with the new device, CEO Evan Spiegel has renamed the company Snap, Inc.

The glasses will first be available for purchase in the US in the coming months, at a price of $129.99.

Following the announcement, Miranda Kerr took to Instagram to congratulate her fiancé on the new product.

So proud of my love ❤️?❤️#spectacles #snap
