The Socceroos are one step closer to playing in the 2022 World Cup, after a win overnight.
The Aussies celebrated a comfortable victory over Kuwait, in their opening qualifying match in Kuwait.
They have only played one other game since January – a friendly against South Korea – in which they were defeated 1-nil.

But the boys didn’t show signs of rust, putting the ball in the net within minutes of the match beginning.
They made light work of the 3-nil win.
Captain Mathew Leckie scored a double, and Aaron Mooy got the other, moving them one step closer to the 2022 World Cup.
The Aussies will now take on Nepal and Taipai next month, as qualifying continues.
