A young soldier who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder has been recognised and added to the Australian War Memorial’s Roll of Honour.
Sapper David Wood took his own life in May 2013 after returning home from two tours in Afghanistan.
The 22-year-old disappeared from his home near Casino in NSW, with his body discovered in nearby bushland.

At a ceremony in Canberra this morning, friends and family paid tribute to the young soldier who had suffered from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder upon his return home from service.
The Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour recognises those who died both in the field and after they returned from service.
