South Sydney players speak after being discharged from hospital following overdose

UPDATE: SOUTH Sydney stars Dylan Walker and Aaron Gray have apologised for the drama they have caused after overdosing on prescription medication.

The pair spoke to media outside St Vincent’s Hospital just after 2.30pm this afternoon, after being discharged.

Both players expressed their remorse over the incident saying that they hope others can learn from their mistakes.

“We would just like to say that we have learnt from our mistakes and that we hope everyone can learn from our lessons, not only rugby league players but people in general.”

Gray also said it was important to take prescription medication only as directed.

The pair were rushed to hospital in a serious condition after suffering a prescription drug overdose on Tuesday morning.

Walker, 20 and Gray, 21 were allegedly watching movies with friends, who phoned emergency services when the pair began vomiting around 3.45am.

The pair were rushed to hospital in a serious condition after suffering a suspected prescription drug overdose on Tuesday morning.

Walker, 20 and Gray, 21 were allegedly watching movies with friends, who phoned emergency services when the pair began vomiting around 3.45am.

Both men were moved out of intensive care and into a private ward yesterday.

Rabbitohs CEO John Lee is also expected to make comment outside the hospital.
