In order to make way for the future Southport–Burleigh Road upgrade, three buildings owned by the Department of Transport and Main Roads will be demolished from 9 November 2015. The buildings to be demolished are:
13 Bundall Road, 23 Bundall Road and 3 La Spezia Court
Further demolition works will occur in late 2015 and in early 2016, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Works will involve:
Installing safety barriers around the work site, disconnecting services to the properties, and clearing vegetation. Removing all debris from the work site using tip trucks and semi-trailers.
What to expect:
Most demolition work will be conducted between 6:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Saturday (weather and construction conditions permitting).
Demolition activities may result in some localised noise, dust and vibration.
The project team will take steps to reduce these impacts wherever possible, and will conduct regular monitoring to ensure compliance with project guidelines. Access to local homes will be maintained.
Should temporary footpath or traffic lane closures be required, traffic control measures will be implemented to direct motorist, cyclists and pedestrians around the works. It is expected each period of demolition will take approximately two to three weeks to complete.
The site will be secured by maintaining the front boundary fence. Where this cannot be achieved, temporary secure fencing will be installed.
All efforts will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
