Southport student directs siblings in award winning film

AS WE prepare for a bunch of Hollywood projects to be shot on the Gold Coast, there is another up and coming film maker in the ranks.

Southport State High School student Brandon Littler is making waves with his short film The Unforgettable (see video below).

The teenager, who is currently completing Year 12, beat out around 70 other entrants to win the Sunshine Coast’s Stuffit Film Festival.

It comes on the back of his Shaft award win at Southport High School last year when he first released the film.

The Unforgettable pays tribute to the LAPD and despite being filmed on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, was set in Los Angeles with Brandon using a ‘reversing’ camera technique to make it look like car was driving on the right side of the road.

He also used his own costumes and props and directed his brothers Ryan (pictured) and Harrison and sisters Jesse and Sophie.
