‘We are very much looking forward to competing offshore on the shore lines of the Gold Coast,’ a pleased David Pullin said when told the 505’s will be competing in Sail paradise at the South East Queensland Championships, crew member Lisa commented ‘I am really excited about competing in such an event as Sail Paradise’.

As long time sailing members of SYC this will not be David and Lisa’s first time competing out of Southport Yacht Club, however it is the first time the 505 class has been incorporated into Sail Paradise, staging the South East Queensland Championships.

‘We are use to travelling all around Australia to compete in the 505 class, however it is really exciting to have this championship at home, and on waters that we are use to’, said David.  505 competitors will be coming from all across Australia to compete. ‘This shows the level of competition held at Southport Yacht Club’ David said.

The 5th Annual Sail Paradise Regatta , which will be held from March 14 – 16, promises to be the best Sail Paradise regatta yet.

The public will be able to view Sail Paradise from the beaches and high-rise buildings, watch the yachts depart for racing through the Seaway and return each day, and see the yachts berthed at the Southport Yacht Club.
