Jordan Speith has taken back the world number one ranking from Jason Day with an outstanding performance at the Tour Championship.
With the help of a red-hot putter, the 22-year-old American shot a final round one-under-par 69 to beat Swede Henrik Stenson, New Zealand’s Danny Lee and Englishman Paul Casey by four strokes.
Day needed to finish in a three-way tie for fifth or better to remain world No.1, but finished tied 10th after shooting a final round two-under-par 68 to finish two under for the tournament.
