UPDATE | Spice Girls tease Australian tour during final reunion concert

EXCITING UPDATE! If you ever argued with your girlfriends over who got to be Sporty, Ginger or Scary Spice (really, no one wanted to be Baby or Posh), then this bit of news is going to blow your Spice World!

During their final concert performance as part of their reunion tour of the UK, the Spice Girls have dropped a major bombshell.

In footage shared on social media in the last couple of hours, Mel B (Scary Spice) can be heard telling the crowd they are embarking on a world tour.

“We will see you in Australia in February!” Mel B is heard over a cheering crowd.

There is yet to be a formal announcement.

EARLIER  | As they prepared for their final show at London’s Wembley Stadium, the Spice Girls enjoyed a visit from a very special guest.

Self-confessed Spice Girls fan, Adele, popped backstage for a chat and to snap selfies with Ginger (Geri Horner) and Baby Spice (Emma Bunton).

Geri captioned her photo with “Finally together” along with a heart emoji, while Emma described the Grammy award-winner as a “gorgeous lady”.

Fans were sent into a spin, hoping Adele would join the four-piece when they took to the stage for the last date on their UK reunion tour.

It seemed two generations of music royalty had collided with one fan writing: “Woaaaah my nine year old self and my 29 year old self cannot compute this awesomeness.”

When the Spice Girls announced their reunion tour (minus original member Victoria Beckham/Posh) back in November, Adele posted a photo of herself as a child in front of a wall covered in posters of the 90s pop stars.

She’s not the first celebrity to have a ‘fan girl’ moment during the tour, with Emma Bunton recently sharing a photo of herself with Hollywood actress Emma Stone.

The Girls have played to sold out crowds in Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol.
