EMERGENCY services have isolated a building and several people following a “hazardous incident” at a mail centre in Canberra’s south.
The incident is unfolding at the Fyshwick Mail Centre after an unknown substance was reportedly detected inside a package this morning.
According to the ABC, there are fears that up to five people could possibly been exposed to the substance, but they are “in good health”, while a further 100 people have said to be quarantined in the building.

Specialist HAZMAT officers are in the process of collecting and testing a sample of the substance.
