State government slammed for ongoing hospital crisis

The Queensland Opposition leader has slammed the state government’s handling of our hospitals.

New pictures revealed today show the extent of the ramping crisis, with patients forced to undergo treatment in packed hospital corridors.

LNP Leader Deb Frecklington says the photos are just more evidence of the government’s ‘unending health crisis’.

“These pictures show the real life consequences of the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s health crisis.

“The pictures and figures don’t lie – Labor can’t run the health system.

“Code yellows are the norm, ramping has skyrocketed, there aren’t enough beds – it’s a debacle.

“Our hard-working health professionals save lives but they’re overstretched under Labor.

“It’s shocking 29 per cent of patients arriving at the Princess Alexandra Hospital spend more than 30 minutes stuck on ambulance stretchers before being admitted to the emergency department.

“The rate was 9 per cent under the previous LNP Government,” Ms Frecklington said.
